By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

MapFrame provides a platform to create and download digital map posters. Our services include:

  • Creating custom map posters from any location
  • Downloading high-resolution PNG files (3600×4800 pixels)
  • Access to pre-made poster packs

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account using Google or GitHub OAuth. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Pricing and Payments

Token System

  • Our services use a token-based system
  • Each poster download costs 1 token
  • New users receive 1 free token upon registration
  • Additional tokens can be purchased in packages

Payments

  • All payments are processed through Stripe
  • Prices are in USD and include applicable taxes
  • Tokens do not expire

Refunds

  • We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis
  • Contact mapframe@sylvesteraswin.com for refund requests
  • Digital products are generally non-refundable once downloaded

5. License and Usage Rights

Personal Use License

When you purchase and download a poster, you receive a personal use license that allows you to:

  • Print the poster for personal use
  • Display the poster in your home or office
  • Give the printed poster as a gift

Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Sell or redistribute the digital files
  • Use posters for commercial purposes without a commercial license
  • Claim ownership of the underlying map designs
  • Remove or alter any watermarks or attributions

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

MapFrame owns all intellectual property rights in our website, branding, and original designs. Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap and is used under the Open Database License (ODbL).

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create using our platform, subject to these Terms.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use our services for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt our services
  • Scrape or collect data from our website
  • Use automated systems to access our services

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement

We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MapFrame shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of data
  • Loss of goodwill

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MapFrame and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use our services will immediately cease
  • You may lose access to your account and any unused tokens
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
